DPC-PLDT VISUAL ARTS COMPETITION 32 Event Fact Sheet

Event Overview DPC-PLDT Visual Arts Competition 32 (VAC32) is an annual arts competition for student artists in the Philippines organized by Directories Philippines Corporation (DPC) and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT). The contest is open to students, aged 18-24, who are currently enrolled in accredited Philippine tertiary schools with a Fine Arts program.

For its 32nd edition, VAC 32 challenged Fine Arts students nationwide to interpret the theme “Pinoy Pride.

A total of 73 entries were submitted from all over the country. Top 30 art works were chosen for final judging and were displayed in an exhibit at Little Theater Lobby at the Cultural Center of the Philippines from March 13 to 20, 2018.

The winning artwork, which will be announced and awarded on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 will be featured on the cover of the 2018-19 Metro Manila Telephone Directories of DPC (Yellow Pages) and PLDT (White Pages). In addition, there will be two other major prizes for the students who submitted the Finalists Entries with the next two highest points, based on the tabulated and audited scores. Cash prizes, trophies and donations to their respective schools will also be given to the winners.
